The best way to understand what to communicate to your stakeholders and how is to ask them!
Choose 3-5 people in each stakeholder group you identified in the previous activity. Ask them for 20-30 minutes of their time and ask them why they are involved in your organisation, what information is most vital for them to receive, how they prefer to be communicated to, and if they have any suggestions for improvement.

3. Why are still involved today?
4. How often do you hear from us?
5. How do you hear from us?
6. Would you like to hear more often? Do you hear from us too frequently?
7. What’s most important to you about hearing from us?
8. What information is most valuable to you that we provide?
9. Is there any information you’d prefer not to receive?
10. Is there any information you’d like to receive that you’re not currently getting?
11. What resonates most with you about [organisation]?
12. Are you involved in any other organisations? In what capacity?
13. What’s important to you about your involvement with those organisations?
14. Do you plan to stay involved with [organisation]? What if anything would make you not want to be involved?
15. Is there anything else we can be doing to improve your experience?
