4 aspects to develop a vision

• Vision is not for us; it serves God’s ultimate purposes and glorifies Him.
• A leader must first see the vision clearly before inspiring others.

The “vision chain” has four links:

• Godly revelation → leaders must hear from God; passion + clarity are the engines of vision.
• Clear vision → avoids “blurry leadership”; write it down, pray it through, refine and test it with others; it must be clear, concise, memorable.
• Vision creates action → when a leader’s heart is moved by God’s vision, others’ hearts follow; passion inspires team action and connects each member to the bigger mission.
• Action establishes God’s Kingdom → only work rooted in God’s Kingdom has eternal value; all human work will be tested by fire (1 Corinthians 3).

• Leaders must guard against shaping vision for ego or self, rather than God.
• Godly revelation, when clarified and acted upon, produces fruitful action that glorifies God.
